Ancient origins
Born with the name “crott del Balin”, a refreshment point for those who frequented the Path of the Wanderer and a Sunday meeting for the Bellano people who spent the afternoon in company, each one in front of his “cup” of nostranel and a few slices of salami.
At the beginning of the 60s the management passes to the Denti family. Mauro, known as Maurin, expands the premises and with his wife Margherita opens the crotto of Biosio.
Snacks made with local salami and cheeses from nearby Valsassina, agoni cooked in every way and local chicken with mushrooms collected in the woods around Biosio become the visiting card of the crotto, which on Sundays is crowded with visitors from the area and also from the near Brianza.
